Temecula Super Summer Classic

CRQH ventured south to Galway Downs in Temecula, California for the Super Summer Classic this weekend. In addition to an amazing facility, great management, and happy horses, the weather, footing, and atmosphere all added up for an incredible weekend.

To begin the recap, Smokin Sensational, owned and shown by Angela Moore, had personal bests that landed them on the cards to 2nd place in the Select Trail. Under Carolyn in the Senior Trail, Abby was Circuit Champion! CRQH is so proud of this beautiful combination, who are headed to the Select World Show later this year.

Zippo’s Tabitha, owned and shown by Suzanne Benson, accomplished personal bests and cemented their partnership further this weekend. They showed in both the Amateur and the Select and place very well in both!

Michelle Lewis continued her winning season and took her horse Indelible Invitation in the Horsemanship and Hunt Seat Equitation for a total of FIVE Circuit Championship titles. Together they pinned more than 10 wins over the weekend in Amateur, Novice Amateur, and PCHA classes. CRQH is incredibly proud of the improvement in this partnership!

The Caroccio sisters Liana and Jaleesa also had a lot to celebrate from the Temecula show. Liana showed her horse An Everlasting Touch, Everett, in the All-Around events and was named Youth Highpoint. She was also a Circuit Champion in the Youth Showmanship and the Youth Hunt Seat Equitation. Carolyn showed Everett in the Senior Trail and ended up Circuit Champions in the Green Western Riding after 3 wins over the weekend.

Saving the most bittersweet for last, Jaleesa Caroccio had her last show with her longtime partner Hotroddin Renegade. Rennie put his heart on the line this weekend and showed everyone exactly what made this pair so special. Jaleesa captured the Circuit Champion title in the Novice Youth Trail in their last class together, taking 1st place unanimously under 3 judges. It was definitely a sentimental moment, but Rennie will go on to a wonderful home and continue to teach younger Youth riders what it takes to make it to the show pen.

During their career together, Jaleesa earned 5 All-Around Titles at some of the largest shows in the country. At the 2014 Congress, they took 12th in the Novice Youth Western Pleasure, 11th in the Novice Youth Trail, 14th in the Novice Youth Hunt Seat Equitation, and 5th in the Showmanship. In 2014, they were named AQHA Rookie of the Year!

Congrats to all our clients on a wonderful show! We had a great time in Temecula and are looking forward to the next horse show!
