Burbank Hollywood Charity

April 22-26th, CRQH stayed a bit closer to home and attended the Burbank Hollywood Charity Horseshow at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. With cooler weather and great footing, it turned out to be a wonderful weekend with some stellar results.

BMQ A Lady Forever, with Youth rider Lauren Hiesl, came to Burbank with personal goals to achieve, as this was only their second show with Team CRQH. Lauren and Lily went above and beyond their goals and learned a lot along the way. On their path, they earned their way to 3 Circuit Championships in the Novice Youth Showmanship, Youth Performance Mares Halter, and Walk/Jog Trail. In all, their weekend yielded 11 winning placings!

Indelible Invatation with owner Michelle Lewis stepped out and continued their winning fashion. They totaled 14 winning rides over the weekend in Burbank, including their debut into the amateur rings in Hunt Seat Equitation and Horsemanship! By the end of the weekend, Michelle and Dexter secured 4 Circuit Championships; Novice Amateur Horsemanship, Novice Amateur Hunt Seat Equitation, Amateur Hunt Seat Equitation, and the PCHA Amateur Horsemanship. The entire team at CRQH is convinced that Michelle’s “Orbit Gum” smile is what really did it!

Smokin Sensational, Angela Moore’s fabulous mare, came out in excellent form at LAEC. Angela was on the cards in the Select Amateur Trail, and Carolyn piloted Abby to a 2nd and 3rd place finish in the Open Senior Trail!

Zippos Tabitha, owned by Suzanne Benson, took on the Novice Amateur Trail with big personal improvements and communication for the new pair. In the Open Senior Trail, Tabitha and Carolyn placed consistently well throughout the weekend.

While it was a short show weekend for the Caroccio sisters, Liana and Jaleesa both proved that it’s still worth it to come out for one day. With her big chestnut gelding An Everlasting Touch, Liana took two 1sts in the Youth Showmanship and another win in the Youth Performance Halter Geldings. They also gained more experience in the Horsemanship and the Youth Trail, taking multiple Top 5 ribbons along the way. Under Carolyn, Everett was 3rd and 4th in the Senior Western Riding, where they had some personal bests! Jaleesa and her gelding Hotroddin Renegade put out some great rides in the Youth Trail and very crisp patterns in the Showmanship; all of her placings for the day were in the Top 5!

We always enjoy showing in Burbank as it is so close to home! While we love traveling to horse shows, there is something to be said for going somewhere that is just down the road. CRQH had a great show and we are so pleased with how everybody did!
