Show Me the Money, Del Mar

As we are about to roll into the 2015 Silver Dollar Circuit show in Las Vegas, it’s the perfect time to recap our success at the Show Me The Money show in Del Mar, February 26 – March 1.

Angela Moore showed her beautiful mare Smokin Sensational (Abby) in the Select Trail with great success and placings to 5th. Carolyn also piloted the mare to top placings in a very nice Senior Trail class.

Brian Moore rode his bay gelding Coolest Jacky with great skill, accomplishing some personal bests in the Select Trail, including impressive placings to 2nd!

Michelle Lewis made the most of some big improvements with her gelding Indelible Invatation. Among a stellar weekend with big effort from her horse, they went on to win a stacked Novice Amateur Horsemanship out of 17! This win, paired with a matching effort later in the weekend, solidified that the Novice Amateur Horsemanship Circuit Champion was none other than this lovely lady! This pair also showed well in the Hunt Seat Equitation, earning top placings and finishing out the weekend with huge smiles.

The Caroccio sisters, Liana and Jaleesa, stayed true to their winning form despite being out of the show ring since the Quarter Horse Congress last October. After four days of showing, Jaleesa captured the Circuit Champion title in the Youth Showmanship followed closely by Liana with Reserve Circuit Champion. Liana and her horse An Everlasting Touch concluded the weekend as Youth All Around Champions after taking notable placings in Trail, Hunter Under Saddle, and the Circuit Champion in Youth Hunt Seat Equitation.

Carolyn rode An Everlasting Touch to personal bests in the Level 1 Senior Western Riding and the Senior Trail.

While the weather (and footing) turned sloppy at the end of the weekend on the Del Mar Fairgrounds, it was a tremendous show thanks to great management, beautiful grounds, our amazing clients, and the best group of barn dogs on the West coast! CRQH is excited for this great start to what will be an incredible show season. We are so proud of everyone’s effort and attitude!
